After victory last week the Sunday Adults came in to this week’s fixture against Beaumont Town 2012 Reserves with high expectations. Welford started the better in the first 10-15 minutes and had chance after chance but couldn’t put the ball in the back of the net. Welford then switched off allowing Beaumont to break and slot home past keeper Kyle Scott. Their lead didn’t last long, as 5 minutes later Welford woke back up and fired back thanks to Morgan, meaning both teams went into the break level.
After half-time, though, Welford looked shaken were punished by 3 quick-fire goals to make the final scoreline 1-4. Welford slip down the table and travel away next week to Middleton United hoping to bounce back.
