Juniors

To join our mixed Juniors for drills, skills, fun and games at their Wednesday training sessions (6:15 – 7:30pm), your child needs to of primary school age (Reception to Year 6) in the 2024/25 academic year.

We welcome younger children to join these sessions: we typically have a number of coaches, so are able to differentiate the activities and run our sessions to accommodate all ages and abilities down to the age of 5.

If you would like your child to join us, please get in touch and ask to join the WhatsApp group we use to communicate details of each week’s session.

League Teams 2024/25

We will have three age group teams playing in NDYAL matches on Saturday mornings

To play in our U7s team, your child needs to have been under the age of 7 as at midnight on 31/8/24 (School Year 2 or 1 for the 2024/25 academic year) but cannot play matches until they are six years old.

To play in our U8s team, your child needs to have been under the age of 8 as at midnight on 31/8/24 (School Year 3 or 2 for the 2024/25 academic year).

To play in our U9s team, your child needs to have been under the age of 9 as at midnight on 31/8/24 (School Year 4 or 3 for the 2024/25 academic year).

Welford Victoria takes the welfare of children very seriously and adheres to all FA guidelines. Our Safeguarding Policy and Procedures are below or please speak to the Club’s Welfare Officer. All Under 18 sessions are supervised by FA qualified coaches with the relevant First Aid and Child Safeguarding certificates. Coaches and regular volunteers are also fully CRB checked.

As a matter of policy, we do not permit any adult to be alone with anyone under the age of 18 and we request parents remain on-site during our junior sessions; we do not allow any child to leave those sessions unsupervised and ask that any arrangements made with the parents of friends for collection are communicated to us in advance.
