Welford Victoria Football Club is always keen to welcome new players to its Adults, Junior and Veterans teams. Whether you want to play weekend matches or just join training sessions during the week, if you share our values we’d love to hear from you.
To play in our U7s team, your child needs to have been under the age of 7 as at midnight on 31/8/24 (School Year 2 or 1 for the 2024/25 academic year) but cannot play matches until they are six years old.
To play in our U8s team, your child needs to have been under the age of 8 as at midnight on 31/8/24 (School Year 3 or 2 for the 2024/25 academic year).
To play in our U9s team, your child needs to have been under the age of 9 as at midnight on 31/8/24 (School Year 4 or 3 for the 2024/25 academic year).
Children between 5 and 10 are welcome at our fun and inclusive training sessions on Wednesdays at Welford Sportsfield, plus the occasional friendly. All coaches are qualified and DBS checked. More detail on the squad’s page.

Assistant CoachOur Girls’ Development squad (ages 11-16) stopped in 2019 but we are keen to offer this again if there is enough interest. Please contact the Club Secretary on secretary@welfordvictoria.com
We have two open-age adults teams; both playing on Saturday afternoons. Men aged over 18 and boys 16 and older (with the consent of a parent/guardian) can join these teams for matches or training.

Our Veterans team plays matches on Sunday mornings and trains on Tuesday evenings at Welford Sportsfield. To play in league or cup games, you have to be 35 or older.

Fees
All of our teams have a common fee schedule for training, matches and registration. For more information, please contact our Registration Secretary. Match fees and subscriptions enable us to run the club efficiently and safely, and are set as low as possible to ensure no-one is priced out of playing with us.
